The purpose of this gallery is to allow survivors to anonymously submit & display descriptions the clothes they were wearing during the assault. The mission of this event, as hosted by the University of Kansas, is to dispel rape myths centered around victim-blaming. SAPA has partnered with USM's Title IX Office to host this gallery. The in-person gallery is currently for display on the USM Hattiesburg campus outside of the Title IX Office in the back of Cook Library until April 22nd, 2022.

SAPA is a student organization at The University of Southern Mississippi dedicated to educating students about consent, bystander intervention, rape culture, and more in order to end sexual violence of all forms campus in order to create safer, more inclusive Southern Miss campus culture.

The Shafer Center is a nonprofit, free community resource center that provides support when you need it the most. Our staff and volunteers are highly trained to provide support and advocacy for crisis situations for individuals and surviving family members of violent crimes including: sexual assault, rape, suicide, and homicide.

USM complies with applicable state and federal regulations, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), which prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity receiving federal funding. USM will not tolerate discrimination and sexual harassment and has provided a way to report these incidents through the Title IX Office.
